Centennial Sheer & Simplicity Blockout: Stylish Light Control & Privacy
The Simplicity Blockout and Centennial Sheer Curtains provide a sophisticated solution for modern interiors, combining functionality with elegance. The Simplicity Blockout Curtain, crafted from 100% polyester with a 4 pass silicone coating, ensures complete light blockout and meets fire retardancy standards, enhancing safety. Its 320cm width allows for seamless coverage, while its plain design serves as a versatile base for layered treatments or as a standalone curtain. Available in seven contemporary neutrals, it boasts a high colourfastness rating, ensuring durability. The Centennial Sheer Curtain, also made from 100% polyester, complements the blockout with its lightweight, durable fabric, providing soft movement and a minimalist aesthetic. Available in a versatile palette, it offers flexibility for neutral or tonal schemes. Both curtains are compatible with various styles, including triple pinch pleat and pencil pleat, supporting tailored folds and pleat definition. Together, they offer optimal light control, privacy, and thermal insulation, making them ideal for both residential and commercial settings. Lined curtains offer several benefits, including enhanced insulation, which helps maintain room temperature by reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. They also provide improved light control, allowing for better management of natural light and increased privacy. Additionally, lining protects the curtain fabric from sun damage, extending its lifespan and maintaining its appearance.
Product FAQs
View all FAQsBlockout curtains typically block out more heat than blinds when curtains are installed into pelmets or dropped ceilings, and curtain drapes are installed past the window opening on all four sides. This prevents heat from entering the room and cool air from escaping out the window because curtains can cover a larger surface area, not just the window opening.
S-fold curtains offer a modern and elegant look, with a smooth gliding operation and an even fabric fall that provides a clean and structured appearance.
You can absolutely layer sheer curtains with blockout curtains or other options. Depending on your windows and requirements you can choose:
During the day, sheer curtains allow you to see outside while also blocking people outside from looking in.
This is because with sheer curtains you can only see from the darker side into the brighter side. This does mean that if it’s night time and the lights are on inside then it’s possible to see inside, so if your curtains are in a room that faces onto a street or public areas, we recommend pairing with a blockout roller blind or a luxurious double curtain which pairs a sheer curtain and blockout curtain.
All our curtains can make the room look bigger. Floor-to-ceiling curtains create a sense of scale, with long lines from the folds in the material drawing the eye yup. This is especially noticeable with curtains that have an S Fold as the fabric maintains a straight line all the way from floor to track. Sheer curtains are especially good at creating the illusion of more space because they allow plenty of natural light in.
We offer sheer curtains to suit any space, with our Designer Curtains, Curved Curtains and Box and Bay Curtains you can achieve a grand look for a great price.
You'll need some silicon spray for this one.
Open your curtains all the way, then apply a thin layer of silicon spray onto the tracks, especially where the pendants slide across. Take care not to spray your curtain fabric.
This can happen from time to time, and it's nothing to worry about.
If you just put up your new curtains, let them settle. With time the creases will just fall out, and warm weather helps too. Remember not to iron or steam them as it might damage the fabric.
If your curtains have lost their shape, you can easily refresh the S-Folds. Start by drawing your curtains open, then run your fingers from the top down to the bottom, guiding the fabric back into the neat S-folds created by the curtain heading. For best results, leave the curtains open for a couple of days so the fabric can relax and naturally fall back into place.

Yes — we always recommend ordering a sample before placing your order, as fabric colours can appear different in your home depending on lighting, wall colour, and flooring. Imagery is indicative only, and colours may vary in real life.
Please note: Warm-toned walls and flooring can make a fabric appear warmer in colour, whereas the same fabric paired with grey flooring and cool-toned walls may appear cooler in tone.
