The number of panels will determine the combination of blinds. Do not split the blinds over the middle of a glass panel, always divide over the timber or aluminium mullion.

Make sure the chains have a position to secure the child safety device.

Make sure measurements A & B add up to the overall width of the Bifold doors.

Measuring Face fit

Scan the entire surface area the blind will cover. Ensure there is nothing that will interfere with the blind either descending smoothly or sitting ush when fully drawn.

    1 Measuring

    Measure the width from the outer edge of your window frame to the opposite edge. We recommend measuring across the top, middle and bottom of every window to cater for any anomalies. Record the largest measurement to ensure the blind fits within the recess.

    Measure the drop from outside of the top of your window frame to the door.

Bifold Doors - Recess Fit

We recommend a minimum depth of 40mm for a recess fit. If there is not enough depth please refer to Bifold | Face fit.

Measuring Recess fit

Scan the entire surface area the blind will cover. Ensure there is nothing that will interfere with the blind either descending smoothly or sitting flush when fully drawn. If anything protrudes we highly reccomend opting for a Face Fit.

    1 Measuring

    Ensure there is a minimum depth of 40mm within the recess.

    Measure the width from the inner edge of your window frame to the opposite edge. We recommend measuring across the top, middle and bottom of every window to cater for any anomalies. Record the smallest measurement to ensure the blind fits within the recess.

    Measure the drop from inside of the top of your window frame to the door.

Essential Measuring Tips

  1. Always use a metal tape measure
  2. Always write down your measurements indicating which is width and drop. Take extra care to ensure you don’t reverse them.
  3. Double check all your measurements. We don’t refund or replace items due to inaccurate measurements.
  4. There is no need to shorten your measurement to allow for clearance. We’ll take that into account. All we need from you is the exact measurement.
  5. We require all measurements in millimeters.
  6. Measure every window, as they may have slight variations that will effect your window furnishing from fitting perfectly.
