Linked Roller Blinds are the perfect solution for furnishing your sliding, bi-fold or large window spaces. Match your linked roller blinds to the vertical dividers (mullions) of your sliding or bi-fold doors to give you the ultimate shading solution. Check our helpful guide below on how best to measure your space.

How will I mount my linked blinds?

An important first step in deciding your perfect fit for your linked roller blinds, is whether you'll be mounting them within your window/door frame as a recess fit or outside your window frame as a face fit.

A recess fit requires at least 50mm of depth within your frame to ensure your blinds fit perfectly without any overhang into your space.

A face fit linked roller blind provides outstanding blockout functionality if a blockout fabric is chosen.

Important tip!

Be sure to check for any obstructions in your space, like door handles or fixings if you're planning a recess fit. If you're unsure, a face fit mount is the best solution.

Measuring your space - Face Fit

  • 1 Measure the total width

Measure the exact outside width of the architrave where you'd like your blinds to be mounted.

Note: For Square Set windows (windows without architraves), add at least 50mm to each side to help minimise light leakage.

  • 2 Measure the drop

Measure the height of the window/doors from the top of the frame to where you’d like the blind to finish. This may be at the bottom of the frame, just above the floor, or to align with other blinds in the same room.

Note: For Square Set windows (windows without architraves), add at least 70mm to help minimise light leakage.

  • 3 Measure the individual widths

Measure from the left to right. Take the first measurement from the far left (where your total width measurement was taken) to where you'd like your blind to stop. This is best to line up with the vertical window or door vertical dividers.

Measuring your space - Recess Fit

  • 1 Measure the total width

Measure the exact width within your window or door frame. Take the measurement from the top of the recess where you'll be mounting the roller blinds.

  • 2 Measure the drop

Measure the drop from inside the top of your window or door frame to the exact bottom of your frame.

Note: If the bottom of your blind will be finishing on t he floor, ensure the drop measurement is taken from the inside of the recess at the top to 10mm above the floor on the bottom.

  • 3 Measure the individual widths

Measure from the left to right within your recess. Take the first measurement from the far left (where your total width measurement was taken) to where you'd like your blind to stop. This is best to line up with the vertical window or door vertical dividers.
