The pictures look amazing – what an incredible home! First off, tell us a little bit about Raydan Blair and how the Glenn Residence project came about.

Raydan Blair was formed with two things in mind. Fulfilling our ultimate desire to work in design and styling and to work passionately as a team, side by side, creating aesthetically beautiful spaces.

Ultimately this project was born from a former client connection. Each project often comes from word of mouth or a referral from a former happy client.

“Find the perfect balance between practical meets remarkable when choosing the right piece for any space of the home.”

Glenn Residence looks so inviting and effortlessly homely, how do you go about taking a brief, finding inspiration, and locating the right pieces for your style choices?

We draw so much inspiration from our clients and this project was no different. We really focused on getting to know the beautiful family that reside in the home and investing time to learn about how they live their lives and what pleases them aesthetically. From there, it really does evolve organically. Selecting the right pieces is the fun part for us! We love to introduce new designers and or custom furniture where possible. We make a priority to find the perfect balance between practical meets remarkable when choosing the right piece for any space of the home.

Selecting the right window furnishings for your space is crucial to nailing the overall style of the room. This can also be a daunting decision as there are so many options to consider. It’s important to keep in mind a few main elements when selecting your window furnishings. How much lighting you want filtered in your space, your overall block out or privacy finish, colour, and texture of the fabric and how you wish to mount the furnishings. Biggest tip: get a variety of samples and make sure you present them in the exact space that they will be installed. This is to ensure the lighting is spot on and ultimately the fabric choice is correct!

Following on, what were the main reasons for adding our sheer curtains to Glenn Residence?

We wanted to enhance the mood of the existing interiors in an overall aesthetic that looked luxurious, yet relaxed. We couldn’t be happier with the result!

The placement of these curtains subtly helps to separate the spaces without cutting them off from each other

We absolutely adore how the space makes you feel like you can throw an intimate dinner party, entertain friends, and chill out on the couch with the family afterwards – it’s like the aesthetic you created tells us a story. How do you do that? What are some handy tips for those trying to style a space or their home in general?

It really is a very well-balanced area of the home. The combination of timbers, soft grey furniture pieces and hints of olive, really do capture a relaxed yet super stylish home. We are looking forward to being a part of the design and styling for a stunning build that will encompass natural coastal elements with clean muted timbers and an overall neutral styling palette. This is a big project for us and one that we will be excited to share. Watch this space!
