One look through Glenn Residence and you'll quickly picture a very happy home life.
The pictures look amazing – what an incredible home! First off, tell us a little bit about Raydan Blair and how the Glenn Residence project came about.
Raydan Blair was formed with two things in mind. Fulfilling our ultimate desire to work in design and styling and to work passionately as a team, side by side, creating aesthetically beautiful spaces.
Ultimately this project was born from a former client connection. Each project often comes from word of mouth or a referral from a former happy client.
“Find the perfect balance between practical meets remarkable when choosing the right piece for any space of the home.”

Glenn Residence looks so inviting and effortlessly homely, how do you go about taking a brief, finding inspiration, and locating the right pieces for your style choices?
We draw so much inspiration from our clients and this project was no different. We really focused on getting to know the beautiful family that reside in the home and investing time to learn about how they live their lives and what pleases them aesthetically. From there, it really does evolve organically. Selecting the right pieces is the fun part for us! We love to introduce new designers and or custom furniture where possible. We make a priority to find the perfect balance between practical meets remarkable when choosing the right piece for any space of the home.
“Biggest tip: get a variety of samples and make sure you present them in the exact space that they will be installed.”
People often underestimate the impact window furnishings can have on a space. When it comes to interior styling, how important are they in your world and what are some things to think about when choosing the right option?
Selecting the right window furnishings for your space is crucial to nailing the overall style of the room. This can also be a daunting decision as there are so many options to consider. It’s important to keep in mind a few main elements when selecting your window furnishings. How much lighting you want filtered in your space, your overall block out or privacy finish, colour, and texture of the fabric and how you wish to mount the furnishings. Biggest tip: get a variety of samples and make sure you present them in the exact space that they will be installed. This is to ensure the lighting is spot on and ultimately the fabric choice is correct!
“Upon receiving our samples, we immediately knew we would be using DIY blinds for this project.”

Ultimately, what drew you to using DIY Blinds and how was your experience from picking out samples to the installation process?
Upon receiving our samples, we immediately knew we would be using DIY Blinds for this project. Having raked ceilings and some beautifully architecture windows at the Glenn project we needed all the professional advice we could get.
The team were extremely helpful. The colour selections and quality were seamless, and sure enough, the process was just as smooth.
Following on, what were the main reasons for adding our sheer curtains to Glenn Residence?
We wanted to enhance the mood of the existing interiors in an overall aesthetic that looked luxurious, yet relaxed. We couldn’t be happier with the result!
“Sometimes it’s the most simple, subtle details that bring the project to life.”
We know that the real beauty can often be in the smallest details. What are some of the details you love about the style choices that perhaps aren’t immediately obvious to the inexperienced eye?
Sometimes it’s the most simple, subtle details that bring the project to life.
Mastering the right amount of colour, texture, and balance with a cohesive flow of functionality meets beauty throughout the home can create a huge impact.
“The combination of timbers, soft grey furniture pieces and hints of olive, really do capture a relaxed yet super stylish home.”
The placement of these curtains subtly helps to separate the spaces without cutting them off from each other
We absolutely adore how the space makes you feel like you can throw an intimate dinner party, entertain friends, and chill out on the couch with the family afterwards – it’s like the aesthetic you created tells us a story. How do you do that? What are some handy tips for those trying to style a space or their home in general?
It really is a very well-balanced area of the home. The combination of timbers, soft grey furniture pieces and hints of olive, really do capture a relaxed yet super stylish home. It was very important for us to guarantee selections were made to complement their overall lifestyle choices, whilst ensuring there was a cohesive style and connectivity in the final colours and textures throughout the home.
Lastly, we’re obsessed with stalking your Instagram @raydanblair, there’s just so much amazing inspiration and ideas for anyone interested in styling their home. Do you have any upcoming projects you’re excited about that you can let us in on?
Oh, thank you! We truly love what we do, and we essentially want to take our followers on a journey with us, for each individual project. It’s important for us to tell a story on our feed and to keep our followers engaged through beautiful, yet simple imagery. I think the spaces we have created, really do speak for themselves.
We are beyond excited to be a part of a special project, one that we now call, the Coastal Retreat. We are looking forward to being a part of the design and styling for a stunning build that will encompass natural coastal elements with clean muted timbers and an overall neutral styling palette. This is a big project for us and one that we will be excited to share. Watch this space!
