The easy way to set up your Somfy Connexoon Hub for motorised blinds and curtains.
Welcome to our simple guide to setting up your Somfy Connexoon Hub and smart phone app for your motorised roller blinds and curtains. You're going to love just how effortless it is to use your new Hub.
Before you get going
Your custom kit
OK it's time to start setting up, let's take it step by step.
Programming your Connexoon Hub so you can control your blinds and curtains via your smart phone is easy. Follow these 10 steps, then kick back and admire a job well done. Here's how to do it:
1 Get organised
Make sure you've activated your Hub and downloaded and logged in to the mobile app (see end user quick install guide). When you log in for the first time the app will ask you to confirm your latitude and longitude.
Have your Somfy remote to hand. If you haven't set up your Somfy remote yet, do this first.
2 Start adding your blind or curtain
In the app tap the menu icon in the top left corner and select Configuration from the menu options. Press the add button on the Configuration screen.
If your blinds or curtains were manually added during install, head straight to I need some extra help at the bottom of this page.
3 Choose your product type
In the app choose RTS devices and tap OK at the bottom.
4 Choose your device type
In the app tap the device you're adding:
For roller blinds tap Interior Roller Blind.
For left or right stack curtains tap 1 Way Curtain.
For centre opening curtains tap 2 Ways Curtain.
5 Test your blind or curtain
Grab your remote control.
For 1 channel remotes press up or down on your remote control to check the blind or curtain is working.
For 5 channel remotes pick the right channel on your remote for the blind or curtain you're adding. Press up or down on your remote control to check the right blind or curtain is working.
6 Add your blind or curtain (part A)
With a paperclip or pin hold down the programming button on the back of your remote control for approx. 3 seconds, until your blind or curtain jogs.
7 Add your blind or curtain (part B)
In the app tap OK and then tap add. Make sure you tap add within 2 minutes. Your blind or curtain will jog again. Then tap add a second time.
8 Confirm your blind or curtain is added
In the app tap Test to check that the product has been added. Your blind or curtains will move (or flash) for 5 seconds. Tap Stop then tap OK to continue. If you didn't notice your blind or curtain move or flash just keep going for now and you can test it once you've finished.
If your blind or curtain hasn't been added, you can tap restart to try again or abort if the step won't work after a few tries. Refer to your motorised roller blinds or curtains manual or call us and we'll help you set up.
9 Give your blind or curtain a name
In the app type the name of your blind in the grey box, e.g living room blind 1 and tap return on your phone's keypad. Tap OK at the bottom of your screen to finish adding your blind or curtain.
10 Finish adding your blind or curtain
You're all done! Your blind or curtain will now show at the bottom of your app's home screen and you can scroll horizontally if you have multiple blinds or curtains.
Use the up and down buttons to control your blind and the my button to stop your blind moving. If your blind doesn't move when you tap the app buttons see I need some extra help at the bottom of this page.
If you have multiple blinds and curtains, repeat steps 1 - 10 for all your motorised products, one by one. You can control all your blinds or curtains with one tap by setting up scenarios and ambiances (see Privacy, weather and security tab of this guide). You can also set up scheduling (see Scheduling tab of this guide).
